Electrical Coordination Services

We provide clash-free coordinated 3D BIM models by resolving clashes of electrical system with the mechanical, plumbing, architectural and structural systems – leading to minimal electrical design changes/modifications.

Provide Clash-free Electrical Model Which is Coordinated to Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural and Architectural Disciplines

We strongly believe in “Prevention is better than cure”, and that’s the guiding principle we follow in our Electrical BIM Coordination Services during key stages of building design – schematic design, design documents, and construction documents.

During the entire electrical coordination process, we run multiple clash detection tests to reduce hard and soft clashes of electrical system trades including electrical panels, conduits, cable trays, lighting fixtures, power systems, electrical transformer, fire alarm, etc. thus leading to a clash-free coordinated construction model.

We believe in “Collaborating Together Coordinating Better” so we work closely with the electrical designers and the entire team of subcontractors (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire system), general contractors, architects, structural engineers, etc. Our consultative approach during the entire electrical coordination process helps electrical subcontractors or electrical designers to take correct decisions for the electrical design changes or modifications.

Electrical Coordination Services

Electrical Model Creation

We create an electrical system model (LOD 100 to 500) which is coordinated and integrated with the mechanical, plumbing, and the base model (architectural & structural).

Coordination Ownership

We accompany electrical designers for the on-site gatekeeper meetings/visits or be a part of coordination meetings, facilitating the entire electrical design coordination from schematic design to construction stage.

Clash Report Generation

We run multiple clash detection tests to identify the maximum electrical design clashes (hard & soft) with the system models and the base models to generate a clash report.

Design Modification

We implement the necessary design changes discussed during the coordination meetings into the electrical system model and eventually deliver a fully integrated & coordinated construction model.

Trades of Electrical Coordination

Trades of the electrical system are electrical panels, conduits, cable trays, lighting fixtures, power systems, electrical transformer, fire alarm, etc. Our electrical BIM coordination services, make sure of all the electrical system trades are clash-free and well-coordinated with the trades of mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, architectural and structural systems. We work collaboratively with all the team of subcontractors (mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, structural,  etc.) and make sure of any design changes/modifications are implemented before delivering the final construction model.

Our Electrical Coordination Process

01
Load Electrical BIM Template

Load electrical BIM template based on the client’s standards for the electrical system such as electrical panels, conduits, cable trays, lighting fixtures, power systems, electrical transformer, fire alarm, etc.

02
Verify Architectural Model

Verify/Check the coordinate of the architectural model with the electrical model by using the “Origin to Origin” positioning approach before linking them.

03
Prepare Electrical Model

Prepare the Electrical model which includes electrical components such as electrical panels, conduits, cable trays, lighting fixtures, power systems, electrical transformer, fire alarm, etc. for coordination within the central file.

04
Run the Clash-detection

In Navisworks electrical model is coordinated with other disciplines and by clicking on “Run Test”, it shows the “Clash Report” occurred between the coordinated model.

05
Review and Resolve Clashes

After resolving electrical clashes, we reload the cache in the Navisworks and make sure resolved clashes are in yellow, and check if any new clashes which will show up in red.
